Ben was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. In December of 2008 he moved to Grand Rapids, MN to get married to his lovely wife Erica, who grew up attending West Cohasset Chapel. Following their wedding, they decided to make WCC their church home. They are currently living in Coleraine, just north of Trout Lake. Ben recommends the book The Power of Commitment by Jerry White. His favorite scripture is Philippians 4:4-7.
Joe came to West Cohasset Chapel as our Pastor in July of ’08. On Sundays, you’ll find Joe preaching at West Cohasset Chapel. Joe serves alongside his colleagues in the spiritual and practical care of the Church. He was born in Topeka, Kansas, was raised in South Florida, and after spending his teen years in Texas, he attended the University of Texas, Austin School of Theology and Abilene Christian University. He and his wife Nicole have two children. One book he thinks every person should have in his or her personal library, aside from the Bible, would be Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan.
I owned and operated a construction company for 33 years, and it has recently been sold. My wife and I have been attending West Cohasset Chapel since March of 1975. We have been married for 39 years and have four grown children and fourteen grandchildren. I enjoy spending time with family and outdoor activities. A book I would recommend for everyone to read and have in their library is Knowing God by J.I. Packer. “I have been crucified with Christ (in Him I have shared His crucifixion); it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” Galatians 2:20 (Amplified version)
My name is Bob Lynch and I have been coming to West Cohasset Chapel for two years with my wife of 37 years, Patti. We have three children: Jennifer, Michelle, and Jeff and three grandchildren. I am now retired after working in the mining industry for 37 years. I trust in the grace God gives through the person and work of Jesus Christ for my salvation. “For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit.” 1 Peter 3:18
Hello! My name is Patrick Mathias. I am married to Julie Mathias and have three children: Taylor, Rachel and Zachary. We live just west of Grand Rapids and have been attending WCC since 1991. Julie and I help with AWANA, and in the past have served in Sunday school, youth group and various other ministries. I am a writer and teach writing at Itasca Community College. I am currently reading a biography on Dietrich Bonhoeffer by Eric Metaxa, and I highly recommend the daily devotional My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers. A favorite scripture of mine is II Timothy 1:7, “For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
