Next basics class: February 26-March 18thWest Cohasset Chapel’s membership class is a four week course that gives an overview of who we are and what we believe as a church. Membership classes are currently offered twice each year. This is an ideal class for those who are new to West Cohasset Chapel or those who have been attending for some time and would like to become a member of the church. At the end of the three classes, individuals may then fill out an application and begin the process of becoming a member. (Attending the class does not obligate you to join, but it is required for membership. )
1). Attend West Cohasset Chapel’s membership class. In these sessions, we discuss what we believe at West Cohasset Chapel, and how we function as a church. Completing the classes does not obligate you to join, but if you want to learn more about West Cohasset Chapel this is a very helpful tool. If you want to become a member, these classes are required.
2). Once you have completed the West Cohasset Chapel membership classes, have been attending West Cohasset for 90 days, and completed a membership application. You may fill this out and return it to the church office. An application will also be handed out at the end of the third and final membership class.
3). When we receive your application, we will contact you to schedule a membership interview with our pastor and elders. At this interview we will have an evening meal together, setting aside time to hear your testimony of how you came to faith in Jesus Christ. The time will also include a Q & A session that you might have concerning the church and membership.
4). After you have completed these steps we will have time at the end of a scheduled morning worship service for you to share how you came to faith in Jesus Christ to the congregation. Then after a congregational approval we will welcome you as new members of West Cohasset Chapel
