Brian and his wife Jo have four married children and as of fall, 2017, 13 grandchildren. He is a native of Grand Rapids. After Bible College and seminary, Brian served over 25 years in pastoral ministry, primarily in Deer River where he helped “plant” Deer River Bible Church and served as the initial pastor there until 2006. After a personal ministry sabbatical and studies in Israel in 2006-7, Brian and Jo returned to Israel in 2010 for nearly five years to assist an assembly in Jerusalem in the areas of evangelism, discipleship, leadership training and church planting. WCC became their church home in the months following their return from the mission field. The Anderson’s both came to faith in Christ at an early age and truly value the local church as God’s chosen entity to nurture and equip His people through the teaching of His Word, the fellowship of believers and corporate worship of the Lord.
Ben was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. In December of 2008 he moved to Grand Rapids, MN to get married to his lovely wife Erica, who grew up attending West Cohasset Chapel. Following their wedding, they decided to make WCC their church home. They are currently living in Grand Rapids with their two daughters, Emerald and Briel and son Bruce. Ben recommends the book The Power of Commitment by Jerry White. His favorite scripture is Philippians 4:4-7.
Joe came to West Cohasset Chapel as our Pastor in July of ’08. On Sundays, you’ll find Joe preaching at West Cohasset Chapel. Joe serves alongside his colleagues in the spiritual and practical care of the Church. He was born in Topeka, Kansas, was raised in South Florida, and after spending his teen years in Texas, he attended the University of Texas, Austin School of Theology and Abilene Christian University. He and his wife Nicole have two children. One book he thinks every person should have in his or her personal library, aside from the Bible, would be Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan.
Greetings! By grace I was raised in a Christian home in Goodland, MN and came to repentance and faith in Christ at an early age. My wife Amy and our three children, Ethan, Elijah and Ellie have been attending West Cohasset Chapel since 2011. In addition to being an Elder at WCC I am involved in the AWANA and Worship Ministries. My heart’s desire is to day by day be a “Doer” of God’s Word (James 1:22) and to encourage the body of Christ in that same glorious command. It’s an honor and humble privilege to serve our Lord and Savior and the body of WCC as an Elder. (Ephesians 4:1-6) God Bless!
In October 1980, while we were engaged, my wife Chris and I came to know Jesus, together as our Savior, at a Lowell Lundstrom crusade in Grand Rapids. In late 1993, we started attending West Cohasset Chapel (WCC). We have three daughters: Angela, Erica and MiKayla. As a family, we have always cherished the love and prayers we receive from our brothers and sisters in Christ at WCC. A favorite book, which is actually a study guide by David Jeremiah is, “Knowing the God You Worship.” My favorite Bible verse is, Genesis 1:1a “in the beginning God.”
Earl has been married to his wife, Kara, since 2005. They are parents to Kate, Bennett, Evelyn and Carson. WCC has been their church home since they moved to the area in 2010. He is happy to serve the church as a worship leader, elder and friend. Earl came to faith in Christ at a young age, but it took many years to understand that he was saved by grace alone. One book that was instrumental in developing a fuller understanding of God and the Gospel in his life is “Knowing God” by J.I. Packer.
