AWANA
Ages 0-5th Grade
AWANA focuses on scripture memorization as a tool to help your child grow in their understanding of Biblical concepts and their faith in Jesus Christ.
A typical evening at AWANA begins in the Sanctuary with the Opening. After the opening, the groups divide to go to class time and game time.
Where should I bring my children?
Sprouts (ages 0-3) meet in the Nursery
Our goal is to help grow your child’s understanding of Biblical concepts, even at a very young age. We are happy to have parents stay for the evening with their child if separation is an issue.
Seedlings (ages 3-Pre K) meet in the Sanctuary
Parents, please determine whether you think your 3-year-old should be in the nursery or is ready to move to the preschool room for more focused activity and Bible lesson time. In Seedlings, our goal is to teach your child Biblical concepts at their level.
Sparks (K-2nd Grade) meet in the Sanctuary
Sparks meet Wednesday nights to memorize Scripture and learn Biblical concepts at their level.
T & T Girls & Boys (3rd-5th Grade) meet in the Sanctuary
T & T meet Wednesday nights to memorize Scripture and learn Biblical concepts at their level.
Youth
Youth ages 6th-12th grade are invited to study God's Word and enjoy friends and fellowship on Wednesday nights. You are always welcome to invite your friends! Meet upstairs in the youth room.
Men's & Women's Bible Study
We will continue working through Men & Women in the Word: New Testament in September and October. Join us in room 102, led by Joe Franzone.
Safety
Your child’s safety during AWANA is of utmost importance to us. We require that all of our volunteers fill out an application and complete a background check prior to serving.
For the safety of all children, we ask that you come into the building to pick up your children at the end of the evening.
AWANA will be canceled if school is dismissed early or canceled. Cancellation information will be sent out via e-mail to all families who have provided an e-mail contact.
We urge you to use your best judgment when deciding to drive to AWANA even if it is not canceled.
For more information, please call the church office at 218-999-9030.
