Wednesday Evening Ministry - Join us on April 12!
6:15-7:45pm
April 12 - May 24
AWANA
Ages 0-5th Grade
AWANA focuses on scripture memorization as a tool to help your child grow in their understanding of Biblical concepts and their faith in Jesus Christ.
A typical evening at AWANA begins in the Sanctuary with the Opening Ceremony. After the opening, the groups divide to go to class time, game time and council time.
Where should I bring my children?
Sprouts (ages 0-3) meet in the Nursery
Our goal is to help grow your child’s understanding of Biblical concepts, even at a very young age. We are happy to have parents stay for the evening with their child if separation is an issue.
Seedlings (ages 3-Pre K) meet in the Preschool Room
Parents, please determine whether you think your 3-year-old should be in the nursery or is ready to move to the preschool room for more focused activity and Bible lesson time. In Seedlings, our goal is to teach your child Biblical concepts at their level.
Sparks (K-1st Grade) meet in the Sanctuary
Sparks meet Wednesday nights to memorize Scripture and learn Biblical concepts at their level.
Sparks (2nd Grade) meet in the Sanctuary
Sparks meet Wednesday nights to memorize Scripture and learn Biblical concepts at their level.
T & T Girls & Boys (3rd-5th Grade) meet in the Sanctuary
T & T meet Wednesday nights to memorize Scripture and learn Biblical concepts at their level.
Youth Group (6th-12th Grade)
Meet upstairs in the youth room.
Women's Bible Study
Women are invited to join the Bible study in Room 101. As followers of Christ, we are to be women of the Word, people who open our Bibles to meet with God and learn more about Him and His great love for us. Join us as we seek to be women in the Word.
Men's Bible Study
As followers of Christ, we are to be men of the Word, people who open our Bibles to meet with God and learn more about Him and His great love for us. Join us in room 102 as we seek to be men in the Word led by Joe Franzone.
Safety
Your child’s safety during AWANA is of utmost importance to us. We require that all of our volunteers fill out an application and complete a background check prior to serving.
For the safety of all children, we ask that you come into the building to pick up your children at the end of the evening.
AWANA will be canceled if school is dismissed early or canceled. Cancellation information will be sent out via e-mail to all families who have provided an e-mail contact. The information will also be posted on the AWANA Facebook Page.
We urge you to use your best judgment when making the decision to drive to AWANA even if it is not canceled.
For more information or to be added to the AWANA email list, please call the church office at 218-999-9030 or email awana@westcohassetchapel.com.
