Become A Christian Worship Service: Sundays at 10:30 AM

What is AWANA?

West Cohasset Chapel (WCC) AWANA meets Wednesday evenings from 6:15-7:45 PM September-May.

AWANA focuses on scripture memorization as a tool to help your child grow in their understanding of Biblical concepts and their faith in Jesus Christ.

A typical evening at AWANA begins in the Sanctuary with the Opening Ceremony.  After the opening, the groups divide to go to book time, game time and council time.

Where should I bring my child(ren)?

Sprouts (ages 0-3) meet in the Nursery.

Seedlings (ages 3-Pre K) meet in the Preschool Room.

Sparks (Kindergarten-2nd Grade) start in the Sanctuary.

T & T Girls (3rd-6th grade) start in the Sanctuary.

T & T Boys (3rd-6th grade) start in the Sanctuary.

Youth Group (7th-12th grade) meet in the youth room.

Your child’s safety during AWANA is of utmost importance to us.  We require that all of our volunteers fill out an application and complete a background check prior to serving.

For the safety of all children, we ask that you come into the building to pick up your children at the end of the evening.

AWANA will be cancelled if school is dismissed early or cancelled.  Cancellation information will be sent out via e-mail to all families who have provided an e-mail contact. The information will also be posted on the AWANA Facebook Page.

We urge you to use your best judgement when making the decision to drive to AWANA even if it is not cancelled.

For more information or to be added to the AWANA email list, please call the church office at 218.999.9030 or email
