For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Hello Friends.
John 3:16 is probably the most well-known verse in the whole of the Bible. It is one of the first verses kids memorize during our Wednesday evening ministries and something you see written on a sign in many professional and college sports events and tattooed on persons.
The verse is simple. It carries us to the main and plain way all people must come to God—faith in His Son.
Faith
Many people wonder how they are to approach God. Do they approach Him with personal sacrifice? Do they approach Him by obeying religious rules? No! Just hold on to the Son in faith—that's the way.
Jesus alone has overcome death. Although crucified under Roman power and Jewish unreasonableness, Jesus rules and reigns. So, we must remain in Him. Because the passage says whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. Accept it as it is—true.
Accept this wonderful truth that God loved the world and say, I believe in the Son of God who was nailed to the cross, buried, and raised from the dead for my sin. Then, you will experience a new birth. Death and sin will no longer condemn you. They will no longer bring you harm, sorrow, or pain. You may, from time to time, stubble under their lies, but it cannot last. You are God’s child. Any person who only believes in the Son (Jesus) will have eternal life.
Why Faith?
Trusting God by faith is the highest form of worship, the greatest act of devotion, the ultimate obedience, and the most pleasing sacrifice. It is what Adam and Eve failed to do. Take God at His word.
Faith then in Christ is immeasurable. It is infinite power. Faith gives God the greatest honor anyone can give Him. Because we tell God we trust Him. We believe Him; we consider what He says as truthful, righteous, merciful, needed, and wise.
You Will Not Perish
Death will not have the last word. Jesus became a man and suffered for you in His death. But it was impossible for death to keep its hold on Him. (Acts 2:24) Jesus is deity and humanity. Therefore, because of Jesus, Christians won’t remain dead. The destroyer of death has made this so. God loves this world. He gave His Son to save it. God loves you and me.
God bless you this week. You are so perfectly loved.

P.S. The following is a prayer I have been praying regularly. Pray along with me if you like. God, you are able to save even the greatest sinner. Please save (fill in a name). Thank you, Father, as I ask this for Jesus' sake. Amen.
