A Prayer For You Today

Dear friends,

John Calvin once said, (Those) who are not satisfied with Christ strive for something beyond absolute perfection. Calvin held tightly to the doctrine of justification by faith in receiving the gift of the perfect righteousness of Christ. We should, too.

A prayer for today.

Almighty God and Father.

Whose Son, our Savior Jesus Christ, the light of the world,

and her only hope in life and death;

Thank You for the gift of His righteousness.                           

Thank you that when You see us, You see Him.

Grant that Your people,

illumined by Your Word, Grace, and Spirit

may shine with the radiance of Christ's glory,

that He may be known, worshipped,

and obeyed to the ends of the earth.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord,

who with You and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns,

one God, now and forever.

Amen.
