A Prayer For You Today

Dear friends.

In the 51st Psalm, David prays to ask God to cleanse him. Whiter than snow is how David describes the cleaning power of God’s forgiveness. I forgive you, may be three of the kindest I know. In Christ, we have it, and because of Christ, we can extend it to others.

Lord, I would be the most miserable person in the world if my hopes were only in this life. Why? Because I am hopeless without Christ's righteousness. My life could never be comfortable, and there would be no hope at all of eternal life.

Though in many respects we have been disobedient and ungrateful children, we ask you, compassionate Father, to forgive us our offenses. We know we are guilty of debts we can never repay. But please forgive those debts, even as we forgive others, even those who have offended and injured us. 

In the way you have pardoned us, we extend to others. For Jesus' sake. Amen.

We are so well-loved. Rest in this, and you rest in Christ.
