A Prayer For You Today

March 6, 2023
I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever;
with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known
through all generations.
I will declare that your love stands firm forever,
that you have established your faithfulness in heaven itself.
You said, “I have made a covenant with my chosen one,
I have sworn to David my servant,
‘I will establish your line forever
and make your throne firm through all generations.’”
The heavens praise your wonders, Lord,
your faithfulness too, in the assembly of the holy ones.
For who in the skies above can compare with the Lord?
Who is like the Lord among the heavenly beings?
In the council of the holy ones God is greatly feared;
he is more awesome than all who surround him.
Who is like you, Lord God Almighty?
You, Lord, are mighty, and your faithfulness surrounds you.
Dear friends.
Our past, present, and future are laid uncovered before God. He knows our sin and shame. He knows everything about us yet loves us with an everlasting love.
A prayer for you today.
Father, You know everything we have ever done. Yet You will not leave us in our shame. Help us not be afraid because You are our shield and great reward.
Remind us we are filled with Your righteousness as a gift because You have raised Jesus from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.
Thank You, Father Jesus reigns, not through a demonstration of power, but of service; not through exaltation, but humiliation; not through might, but sacrifice.
Help us to trust in Jesus daily as our priest and king. In light of Your grace, may we live a life of faith, trusting in Your goodness and laying down our life for others.
Father, You are merciful and faithful. Let Your righteousness, justice, steadfast love, and faithfulness go before us. Allow us to walk in the light of Your face and exalt Your name all day. In Christ’s Name, Amen.
May our Father continue to meet all your needs in Christ Jesus.
