A Prayer For You Today

Dear friends.

At my father's funeral service, I said, 'You had to work really hard to be his enemy, but you had to be human to be his friend.'

During his martyrdom, Stephen left this world praying for his enemies, just as Jesus did.

A prayer for you today.

God and Father, You can save even the greatest of sinners. You saved me. Please save them.

You have preserved Your church so that the gates of hell have not prevailed against her. You are our salvation.

Grant us faith to trust Yur promises. Restrain the evil council of those who set themselves against You and Your church.

Save us from the hands of our enemies and make them our friends and family in Christ.

Finally, please pour out abundantly the spirit of joy and comfort that we might share with others in need.

For Jesus' sake. Amen.

God be with you in all the ends and outs of the coming week.
