A Prayer For You Today

The love of God in Christ is like an invasion of the human psyche. It is overwhelming, and often we may think, “No one can love me this well. I can’t earn this.” And we are right. This is the unfailing love of God which is rooted in His grace. Rest, dear saints, rest.

A prayer for you today.

We thank you, O God, for providing us with a Throne of Grace, which is sprinkled with the precious blood of Jesus. This allows us, the guilty, to come without fear of Your wrath breaking forth upon us. 

We come before You with all our hearts and ask You to draw us towards You so that we may run after You. Our desire is towards You, to exalt You, but we need the Holy Spirit's enablement because we are broken, and ready to perish outside of Christ. Without Your help, we can do nothing.

As we begin this week, please breathe into us the prayers that we need to offer to You and write on our hearts the words we need to speak in Your presence.

For Jesus’ sake Amen.
