A Prayer For You Today

Dear friends,

It was a grand Easter weekend. There is much to thank God for. Together on Good Friday and Easter, as a Church, we learned through songs sung, scriptures read, prayers, communion, and sermons what Christ accomplished: peace with God, the cancellation of our sin's penalty, the setting aside of divine anger, the end of hostility, the end of accusation and condemnation, and the fullness of the Resurrection.

Good Friday and Easter announce that nothing can separate us from God's love in Jesus the Savior. Through the cross, we have intimacy with God the Father, unity with God the Son, and life in the Holy Spirit.

A prayer for you today.

Lord Jesus, it was our sins that sent You to the cross. There we beheld our king. There, You finished the work of our redemption. There we looked upon You, whom we had pierced. There redemption was accomplished. There at the coming of the Lord, we will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed. Father, Son, and Spirit, thank You for your astonishing love. Amen.
