A Prayer For You Today

Dear friends,

People are on the move. Some by choice, some by force, others for different reasons. They need our prayers. We all know how hard it can be to leave home.

A prayer for the stranger.

O Lord, who loves the stranger,

We pray you would defend and sustain

all sojourners in strange lands

and poor, helpless, lonely persons,

that they may glorify you out of grateful hearts.

And to such people as are tyrannical and oppressive,

give a searching of spirit,

and the amendment of ways

that you might show mercy

to them also

leading them to Christ.

Amen.
