Come behold the wondrous mystery.
Slain by death, the God of life.
But no grave could e'er restrain Him.
Praise the Lord; He is alive.
What a foretaste of deliverance
How unwavering our hope
Christ in Power resurrected.
As we will be when He comes.
Verse four: Come Behold the Wondrous Mystery
Dear friends.
Jesus is alive. Christ is risen. He is not here; He has risen, just as He said (Matthew 28:6). These are just a few ways Christianity has expressed the foundational truth of the resurrection of Christ.
This truth represents the reality that in our day-to-day life and every moment beyond it, the Christian can say with certainty that because Christ has risen, the best is yet to come.
A prayer for you today:
Ever living God, whose will it is that all should come to You through Your son Jesus Christ: inspire our witness to Him, that all may know the power of His forgiveness and the hope of His resurrection, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit one God now and forever. Amen.
