What to Look for When Choosing Media

Goal #1: Jesus over everything else. Is Jesus the hero of this material? In everything we study, we need Jesus and his great rescue of sinners to be obvious. We want God’s grace to be free and His mercy to be astonishing. Goal #2: The Gospel is clear. When someone who does not know Jesus learns with us, will he or she have the opportunity to hear how they can be saved? And for those of us who know Jesus as savior and friend, are we reminded that our sin has been paid for and we are free because of it? When we live our lives in light of the Gospel, it will affect everything in it.

Interpreting The Bible

There has always been a need for a distinctly Christian way of interpreting the Bible, grounded in the person and work of Christ.

The gospel is not merely an add-on at the end of a sermon; it is the controlling center for how we read, understand, and interpret all of Scripture. In this four-week class, we will learn from Jesus, Paul, and the Scriptures themselves why this is so.
