A Prayer For You Today

Dear Friends,

All have sinned, may be the most humbling words in the bible to every human being, beginning with myself. It is the stain of everything wrong with the world and the entire human race. This Sunday, we learned from Habakkuk Chapter Two, only the Gospel is the ultimate answer to the problem of evil—our own evil and the evil of others.

A prayer for you today.

God and Father, thank You that on the cross Jesus took our punishment, bore our guilt, and died for our sin, sin which we still struggle with to this day.

Thank You for declaring us righteous in Your sight, made possible by Christ’s death and resurrection for us.

Mercifully receive the prayers of Your people who call upon You, 
and grant that they may know and understand what things they ought to do, and also may have grace and power faithfully to accomplish them,

through Jesus Christ our Lord, 
who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, 
One God, 
now and forever. 
Amen.
