You are my hiding place
You always fill my heart
With songs of deliverance
Whenever I am afraid
I will trust in You
I will trust in You
Let the weak say
I am strong
In the strength of the Lord
Hiding Place
Dear friends,
I imagine we have all been in places where we don’t know what the right thing to do, think, say, or believe. But we are never alone. Jehoshaphat, surrounded by enemies, feeling helpless, powerless, and confused, cried out to God, we do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you. (2 Chronicles 20:12)
A prayer for you today.
Grant us, oh Lord, to know that which ought to be known,
to love that which ought to be loved,
to praise that which pleases you,
to esteem that which is precious to you,
And to know that which is evil in your eyes.
Give us wisdom and discernment to distinguish what is good from what only appears to be good
and above all, to be always seeking after your will and your good pleasure.
Make us a people of quick and tender conscience.
That in understanding we may obey your every word in rhythm with your Spirit which lives in us.
Speak, Lord, for your servants are listening.
Amen.
