A Prayer for You Today (1)

December 8, 2025

Dear Friends,

Children and Christmas are one of the many good Christmas combinations. May we thank God for every child we serve and see at this, His Church.

A Prayer for you today

Comfort us, Lord! Comfort our children!

When we are spent and speechless,

Whisper wonderful songs to them,

When we have nothing left to give,

Let some fountain of Your grace

Well up within us. Let us love our child

With Your great love, O God.

We thank You even now for the grace

That is made sufficient, day by day, and

Hour by hour, in the midst of our

Imperfect parenting and serving.

Praise to You, Lord Jesus Christ,

who healed the broken, the sick, and the sinners.

Our children are precious,

remind us that they are not a mistake or a punishment,

But they are image bearers of You, the living God.

Enlarge our hearts to better love our children.

Expand our vision that we might see them through Your eyes.

In the care of our children, when needed, lead us to outside sources-

whether it be friends, doctors, counselors, or therapists,

knowing that our children are not a problem to be solved,

But precious people to be cherished, nurtured, and loved.

Finally, Father, we cannot turn our children’s gaze to You,

Give us hope for the future that that day will come by Your grace.

Thank You, Father, for Your children,

Thank You for our Savior Jesus Christ, in His name we pray. Amen

Next Sunday, the children of our church will lead us in worship as part of our Christmas service. Please pray for them—they are precious in His sight. Thank you.

With all my love in the Lord Jesus Christ.
