A Prayer For You Today

Dear Friends,

Last week, I wrote to a friend: I don’t know what I would do without the help of Christ in my life and ministry. Without Him, I would fall apart.

A prayer for you today.

We ask You, O lover of humanity, to bless all of Your people, the flocks of Your fold. Send into their hearts the peace that only comes from heaven, and grant all of us the peace of this life. Give authentic, deep life to all of our souls, and let no deadly sin prevail against us or any of Your people.

Deliver all who are facing troubles, for You are our God, the only one who can set the captives free, who gives hope to the hopeless and help to the helpless, the one who lifts up the fallen and is the haven of the shipwrecked.

Grant Your pity, Your pardon, and Your refreshment to every Christian soul, whether in affliction or error. Preserve us from hurt and danger during our journey through this life and grant that we may end our lives as believing Christians who are pleasing to You through Jesus Christ. Forgive our sins, as we praise You for our coming inheritance with all Your Saints. Amen
