A Prayer For You Today

For years now, every Monday morning, I clean our home. Top to bottom, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, washing clothes, making the bed, and yes, even washing dishes.

There are no small jobs for Jesus, and in everything we do, it seems best to ask God for help to do it.

A prayer for you today,

As I wash and scrub and lament the lack of tangible evidence of my daily laborers,

let me instead take joy in this:

I am loving well the next person to eat from this dish, and O my Lord, it is enough. Amen
