A Prayer For You Today

Dear friends,

It can be a tremendous encouragement to know other Christians are praying for you. It can be a double encouragement to know what they are praying for on our behalf. Paul would tell the churches to which he wrote what he was praying for.

A prayer for you today.

I pray that the eyes of your heart will have enough light to see what is the hope of God’s call, what is the richness of God’s glorious inheritance among believers, and what is the overwhelming greatness of God’s power that is working among us, believers. This power is conferred by the energy of God’s powerful strength. (The same) Power was at work in Christ when God raised him from the dead and seated him at God’s right side in the heavens, far above every ruler and authority and power and angelic power, any power that might be named not only now but in the future. God put everything under Christ’s feet and made him head of everything in the church, which is his body. His body, the church, is the fullness of Christ, who fills everything in every way.

I ask that he strengthen you in your inner selves from the riches of his glory through the Spirit, that Christ will live in your hearts through faith. As a result of having strong roots in love, I ask you have the power to grasp love’s width and length, height and depth, together with all believers. I ask that you know the love of Christ that is beyond knowledge so that you will be filled entirely with the fullness of God.

Glory to God, who is able to do far beyond all that we could ask or imagine by his power at work within us, glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus for all generations, forever and always. Amen.
