A Prayer For You Today

Dear friends,

I enjoy social media, for the most part. Like many earth-bound things, it has its upside and its downside. Because of this, we must keep asking Jesus for help when reading and especially posting on social media.

A prayer for you today

Lord Jesus Christ, when I am tempted to communicate on impulse,

acting or reacting with little forethought or reflection,

Let me pause to prayerfully ask:

Does my message serve a useful purpose for others?

Does it edify, or does it merely clutter the mind and distract?

Am I acting out of a desire for attention? From a flawed sense of self-righteousness or self-importance?     

Or do I truly seek to bless and benefit those who will read what I share?    

Give me the grace to answer honestly and make me willing, if it is best, to maintain silence and offer instead a prayer on their behalf.  Amen
