A Prayer For You Today

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

 (James 1:17)

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the gift of marriage.

Thank You for the gift of family.

Thank You for the gift of singleness.

In marriage, may Your love grow well in each, in turn, each for each other.

In the family, may husbands love their wives, wives their husbands, children their parents, in turn, parents their children.

In singleness, if the desire to share their life with another comes, grant them grace in the journey until completed. If it never comes, thank You that they are whole.

Our souls and bodies, our thoughts and words and deeds,

our love for one another are Yours.

May we all walk in the faith.

May Your peace dwell in our homes.

May You bless our daily labors, as You unite our wills in Your will,

that we may grow in love and peace all the days of our life,

through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
