Kayla Smith
Church Ministry Coordinator
Kayla came to West Cohasset Chapel in August 2012 shortly after turning to God in repentance and putting her faith in Jesus Christ. She began serving as the Church Ministry Coordinator in September 2014. She loves the church and serving everyone in it. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and listening to music.
Angela Laine
Secretary
Angela came to West Cohasset Chapel in 2019, shortly before marrying her husband Jordan, who grew up at West Cohasset Chapel, and began her role as secretary in November 2020. She was born in Tyler, Texas and enjoys playing board games, watching movies with friends and family and reading.
Joe Franzone
Pastor
Joe came to West Cohasset Chapel as our Pastor in July of ’08. On Sundays, you’ll find Joe preaching. Joe serves alongside his colleagues in the spiritual and practical care of the Church. He was born in Topeka, Kansas, was raised in South Florida, and after spending his teen years in Texas, he attended the University of Texas, Austin School of Theology and Abilene Christian University. He and his wife Nicole have two children. One book he thinks every person should have in his or her personal library, aside from the Bible, would be Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan.
Our Elder Board
Ben Bostaph
Ben was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. In December of 2008, he moved to Grand Rapids, MN to get married to his lovely wife Erica, who grew up attending West Cohasset Chapel. Following their wedding, they decided to make WCC their church home. They currently live in Grand Rapids with their children Emerald, Briel, Bruce, Adrik, Lucas, and Milo. Ben recommends the book The Power of Commitment by Jerry White. His favorite scripture is Philippians 4:4-7.
Kent Christensen
Kent and his wife, Konnie, decided to retire from a lifetime of farming to the Grand Rapids area. They have been married for nearly 45 years. He and his wife have three grown sons, three beautiful daughter in-laws, and nine grandchildren. Kent came to faith in Christ at an early age. He realizes he isn't saved by merit but as one who is dependent on the grace of God, joyfully forgiven in Christ Jesus. His favorite verse is 2 Corinthians 5:21.
Earl Williams
Earl has been married to his wife, Kara, since 2005 and they are parents to Kate, Bennett, Evelyn, Carson, and Samuel. WCC has been their church home since they moved to the area in 2010. He is happy to serve the church as an elder and in music ministry. Earl came to faith in Christ at a young age, but it took many years to understand that he was saved by grace alone and not by any work of himself. One book that was instrumental in developing a fuller understanding of God and the Gospel in his life is "Knowing God" by J.I. Packer.
