A Prayer For You Today

Dear friends,

Life can be hard—impossible situations, predicaments with no clear way out, decisions that must be made, but the answer feels out of reach. What do we do? We turn to the only One who says, nothing is too hard for Him.

A prayer for you today.

Dear Father, who is our God.  Nothing is too hard for you.

But I find myself in the Valley of Despair, overwhelmed by what I need.

Deliver me, dear Father.

 You are the God revealed in Jesus, clothed in weakness.

The King who left His throne to be with His people.

You knew what it was to feel weak and in need of help.

But our Redeemer lives!

Deliver me, dear Father.

Loving Father, You will not abandon me to my despair,

Or leave me to drown in my contemplations.

You bid me to come to you, even as you never leave me.

Please give me the ordered places of peace, ease, and rest

A place not in need of neatening up.

Deliver me, dear Father.

Finally, lay your hand on my shoulders, and give them your strength.

Let me rest in the righteous, beautiful end you have already written in your answer.  For Jesus’ sake, amen.
